I had a case recently involving three insurance companies. The insured was working as a New York City police, and his wife was covered under his plan it the beginning. The insurance companies would not speak with the other, the other ones, but when we had to go to a higher level, which we did with this one insurance company, they would no longer discuss the case with another insurance company. I’ve never seen this issue before for all the years, 34 years now in the industry. I’ve had many cases involving subrogation or coordination of benefits, so I went directly to the congressman for that area where the family lived, and they were tremendous help to straighten this out.
